Amgram have been contracted to carry out inclining experiments and produce stability books for the fleet of Aircrew training vessels operated by SMIT International.

SMIT International became aware of a problem with their fleet of ACTV’s which needed re-inclining and re-marking for load marks due to weight growth.

Amgram carried out an extensive stability review, checking draught and freeboard marks, and inclining first the SMIT DART and SMIT DEE.

Following production of the stability books, Amgram suggested that the most cost effective way forward would be to carry out lightship surveys to investigate the other craft. One vessel was found to fulfil the conditions to be considered as a sister ship. The remainder are to be re-inclined and have new stability books developed during 2012.
