Amgram were asked to provide a design for a series of lift points on a 6m RIB, being designed to comply with SOLAS regulation.
This project is very typical of the small consultancy type project that Amgram carry out for a wide variety of clients. The project involved uprating an existing design and verifying that design for a load to meet the SOLAS criteria.
Amgram carried out some simple hand calculations to investigate the lift plates and supporting structure. At the request of the Client the work was independently peer reviewed.
The end result was of course subjected to a physical test and has been adopted by the Builder as the standard design for this size of boat.
