Where we come
from........
Our philosophy;
Amgram Ltd is a
specialist in the small craft market; we deal with craft less than 40 metres
built in any material; steel, GRP or aluminium. We provide design support
services and consultancy. We deliberately avoid the temptation to be expert
in all fields, preferring to have a network of associates; all of them involved
other aspects of the marine business. We offer clients our complete attention
and confidentiality, together with independent and objective advice. We recognise
that we will always be a small company and we thrive on that.
Our staff;
All our staff are
naval architects, all have degrees in naval architecture with small craft
specialisations. They have varying backgrounds and experiences but are all
committed to providing an excellent and personal service.
Our history;
Amgram Ltd was
founded in 1987 by Paul Graville, the current Director, following his experience
working in design offices and running boatyards. Celebrating 20 years of operation
in 2007, during its life the company has moved twice to provide more space
for growth and now is settled in a purpose designed office in an elegantly
converted Victorian church hall.
Our location;
We are based in
Shoreham, Sussex, on the south coast of the United Kingdom and we have excellent
transport links. Heathrow airport is just over an hour away, Gatwick airport
is 40 minutes distant. Trains run from London's Victoria station direct to
Shoreham and take 70 minutes. There are also trains to the continent via Ashford
and the channel tunnel or cross channel ferries to Dover, Newhaven or Portsmouth.
